Q: WHAT IS AMOUNT OF EXPERIENCE OF THOSE PROVIDING INSTRUCTION?
A: The Chancellor and Founder of IBU, Dr A D Chafins has 28 years in broadcasting. The last 13 years exclusively in Internet broadcasting. The significance of 13 years is that the entire industry is only approximately 16 years old. He has been in Internet broadcasting for approximately 75% of the whole history of the industry. The remaining course instructors attached to IBU have an average of 10 years in their related fields of instruction.
Q: WHAT IS THE COST?
A: The cost of the Broadcast Certification Package is $750 US. This cost will be adjusted should the applicant seek and receive exemptions resulting in less courses being needed for certification. Should a person only wish to take selected courses and not the full curriculum. The cost is $100US per selection. It is possible that other price adjustments may apply based on age and circumstance. These will be considered on a case by case basis and subject to approval.
Q: WHAT IS THE LENGTH OF THE CERTIFICATION COURSE?
A: The course is designed to run approximately 12 weeks. We say estimated because it is possible that some segments may take longer than others.
Q: WHAT IS COURSE STRUCTURE?
A: The course is designed for 1 two hour teaching session. This is followed be an assignment to test comprehension of material. The assignment must be completed before moving on to next segment. The course instructor will be available during this time and when approving the completion of the assignment. The instructor will also be available for questions and further support during assignment and next segment.
